About Me

I’ve been enamored with technology for my entire life. I put my first computer together with a fancy new case and parts from old machines when I was nine years old. I’ve always loved taking what’s available and making something I like.

My very first foray into coding would’ve been editing profile themes back in the MySpace days. I first dipped my toes into actually learning how to actually code in 2011 using the book, Head First HTML with CSS & XHTML, by Eric Freeman.

Since then, I’ve undergone a Cert. IV course at TAFE for Web Design & Development, practiced and worked on my design skills and learned to work with a number of front and back-end web technologies.

Unrelated to tech, some of my hobbies include aquariums, playing guitar and fumbling my way through various DIY projects.

I find web development to be a great mix of a creative outlet and an exercise in meaningful problem-solving. I also get to feed my hunger for knowledge on a regular basis. There’s always something interesting around the corner.

I’m currently working through a full-stack web development coding bootcamp, Coder Academy, in Sydney, Australia. I’m working really hard to become an accredited full-stack developer by the end of the year!

You can follow my journey to becoming a full-time developer on my Medium blog.
